What This Code Means

The control panel has detected a trouble (open or short) on an SLC loop configured for Style 6 or Style 7. The panel drives both ends of the loop to maintain communication in an unsupervised method.

Common Causes

1Open circuit on the positive side of the loop
2Open circuit on the negative side of the loop
3Short circuit on the loop

Resolution Steps

Identify the specific fault (positive open, negative open, or short) on the indicated loop, correct the wiring condition, and press the RESET button to clear the latching trouble.
