To add IDNet devices, connect them to the IDNet signaling line circuit (SLC) on the Main System Supply (MSS) or an optional IDNet 2+2 module. The system supports up to 250 devices per SLC and a total of 998 points across the panel (Page 1, 3) [1].
For Class B wiring, "T-tapping" is permitted. For Class A, wire from the Primary Terminals (B+, B-) through the devices and back to the Secondary Terminals (A+, A-) (Page 66) [1].
Distance Limits: Ensure the run does not exceed 4,000 ft for up to 125 devices or 2,500 ft for 126-250 devices (Page 3) [1].
Jumpers: Configure module jumpers for the wiring type. Class A uses positions 3-5 and 4-6; Class B uses positions 1-3 and 2-4 (Page 67, 69) [1].
Addressing: Assign a unique address to the device. If using isolators on a Class A loop, address them in sequence starting from the "B" side (Page 67) [1].
Programming: Update the system configuration using the ES Panel Programmer software to recognize the new points (Page 42) [1].
