EST4 multi-panel communication is established by physically connecting nodes via SFP network controllers and configuring their unique MAC addresses within the 4-CU software. Each node must have its SFP ports enabled in the configuration to permit data transmission across the IPv6 network.
Record the MAC address for each node (4-CPU, 4-ANNCPU, 4-NET-AD, etc.) from the product label or by using the Query Network function in 4-CU (Page 48) [1].
Physically connect the nodes using SFP modules, wiring between eth0 and eth1 ports as required for your topology (Page 154) [1].
In the 4-CU Node List, enter the recorded MAC address for each node in the Edit Properties tab (Page 48) [1].
Enable the specific SFP eth ports in the 4-CU software to allow the data network riser to function (Page 154) [1].
Connect your computer to the 4-CPU USB port and obtain a 1-hour or 8-hour access code from the panel System Info menu (Page 51) [1].
Use the Transmit To Panel command in 4-CU to download the configuration; the system will reboot to initialize the network (Page 51) [1].
