To connect the 5820XL to a central station, you must use the built-in dual phone line DACT connected to two RJ31X jacks. The system must be wired upstream of all other telephone equipment to ensure priority signaling during an alarm.
Connect two phone lines to the panel using RJ31X jacks (Page 1) [1].

Program the central station phone number and an automatic daily test time (Page 2-3) [1].
Set the AC Loss Hours to 1-3 hours and Attempts to Report to 5 (Page 2-3) [1].
Select a compatible reporting format, such as SIA or Contact ID, for the dialer outputs (Page 8-18) [1].
