To initiate a walk test on the FX-5, ensure the panel has no active alarm or supervisory events, as the test will not operate under those conditions. Use the Walk Test button and the specific Disable buttons for the circuits you intend to test (Page 62) [2].
Press the Walk Test button once for an audible test or twice for a silent test (Page 63) [2].
Press the Disable button for the specific IDC (Initiating Device Circuit) you want to test (Page 63) [2].
Activate the devices on that circuit; the panel will automatically reset the circuit approximately eight seconds after each activation (Page 62) [2].
Once testing for that circuit is complete, press the Disable button again to turn off the walk test for that IDC (Page 64) [2].
Repeat steps 2 through 4 for any additional circuits (Page 64) [2].
Press the Walk Test button a third time to exit the walk test mode (Page 62) [2].
