How do I integrate third-party devices or legacy Esser detectors with the FlexES panel?
Integration of external devices and older system components is achieved through transponders, dedicated interfaces, or network modules. For non-bus or third-party I/O, use esserbus transponders, which function as decentralized input/output components on the loop (Page 76) [1].
External devices, such as fire department indicating panels (FAT 3000/FDIP 2003), connect via the two RS485 interfaces located on the Control Module (Page 66, 81) [1].
To integrate with older Esser systems like System 8000 or IQ8Control, use an essernet module to network up to 31 devices (Page 67) [1].
Other third-party systems, including voice alarm or hazard management, can be coupled through the network or separate interfaces (Page 80) [1].
All integrations must be configured using the tools 8000 programming software, version V1.16 or higher (Page 79) [1].
