How do I perform a walk test on the iO64?

To perform a walk test on the iO64, use the panel menu to select either a silent or audible mode and enter a level one password. You can test the entire system or specific zones one at a time to keep the rest of the system in service (Page 234) [1].

Starting the Walk Test

1. Press the Menu button and select Test.
2. Choose Walk Test Silent or Walk Test Audible.
3. Enter a level one password.
4. Select All Devices or Zone (if Zone, enter the specific Zone ID).
5. Choose Start and conduct the physical testing of devices (Page 211) [1].

Ending the Walk Test

1. Press the Menu button and select Test.
2. Choose the walk test mode currently in use (Silent or Audible).
3. Select All Devices or Zone.
4. Choose End to restore the devices (Page 236) [1].

Note: To include all activation and restoration events in a walk test report, you must perform a panel reset before choosing End (Page 216) [1].

The panel will automatically terminate the test after 30 minutes of inactivity (Page 211) [1].
