To perform a walk test on the MS-5024, ensure the system has no active alarms and all faults are cleared. This mode allows for testing without triggering the communicator or alarm relays (Page 57) [8], [21].
Press the MODE key.
Enter the 4-digit code 9255 (spells 'WALK').
Press the [ENTER/STORE] key (Page 57) [8].
Test initiating devices; the first activation on a zone sounds NACs for four seconds, while subsequent activations on that zone sound for one second (Page 57) [8].
To exit and return to normal mode, press MODE, enter 6676, and press [ENTER/STORE] (Page 57) [8].
Note that the panel will automatically revert to normal mode if no activity occurs for 60 minutes (Page 57) [8].
