To program the 5820XL using the 5660 Silent Knight Software Suite (SKSS), connect a PC to the panel's onboard USB or serial port, or establish a remote connection via a modem (Page 113) [1].
This software allows you to configure system options and mapping offline before downloading the file to the panel [1].
Connect the PC to the FACP using a USB cable, 9-pin serial cable, or modem [1].
In SKSS, select Options then Communications to configure the COM port or modem [1].
Select New from the File menu to create a new account file [1].
Navigate the programming views, such as Input Zones and Output Groups, to enter system data [1].
Use the Upload command to retrieve current panel settings if needed [1].
Select Download from the File menu to send the completed programming to the panel [1].
