What is IDNet and how does it differ from other SLC protocols like FlashScan or Signature?

IDNet is a Simplex protocol for addressable initiating devices, such as automatic and manual sensors, used to detect fire conditions [1].

It can be hosted on a system power supply or a dedicated IDNet option card and is programmed through the Hardware or Point tabs in the system software (Page 130) [1].

The protocol includes diagnostic capabilities to locate earth faults between specific isolators on the loop [2].

I couldn't find information regarding FlashScan or Signature in our manuals.
