The Silent Knight 6820 can be updated in the field by downloading the Firmware Update Utility from the manufacturer's website and applying it to the panel. Once one panel is updated, the firmware can be propagated to other networked panels through the system menu.
Download the latest 6820 Firmware Update Utility from www.silentknight.com (Page 117) [1].
Update the initial panel using the downloaded utility (Page 117) [1].
To update other panels in the network, navigate to the Main Menu and press 8 for System Information (Page 117) [1].
Select Send/Receive Firmware Updates (Page 117) [1].
Press 2 to send a firmware update or 3 to receive one (Page 118) [1].
Use the arrow keys to select the desired panel from the list and press ENTER to begin the process (Page 118) [1].
