What This Code Means
A Supervisory condition indicates that some part of the building’s fire protection system is disabled or a lower priority initiating device has been triggered.
Common Causes
- 1Sprinkler tamper switch being activated due to a fire sprinkler control valve being closed
- 2A lower priority initiating device (such as a duct smoke detector) has been triggered
Resolution Steps
Unlock and open the enclosure door. Press the SUPV ACK key under the flashing yellow LED to acknowledge the condition. Read the alphanumeric display to determine the area and type of condition. Investigate the problem to determine its cause. Restore or replace the defective device (switch, wire, notification appliance) in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. When the problem causing the supervisory is corrected, the supervisory automatically clears (for non-latching points) or requires a system reset (for latching points).
