What This Code Means
The FACP indicates a fault when battery resistance is too high, voltage drops below the discharging limit, or a connection/fuse issue is detected.
Common Causes
- 1Battery voltage lies below the final discharging voltage (less than 21 V DC)
- 2Excessive contact resistance (> 200 mOhm) at the battery terminal clamps or connecting cables
- 3Battery not connected, deep-discharged, or defective
- 4Defective fuse
- 5Fault in the resistance measurement (no load present)
Resolution Steps
Check the battery connection lines and terminal clamps for high resistance. Ensure batteries are not deep-discharged (below 21 V DC); if they are, they must be recharged externally or replaced. Verify the fuse is intact. Ensure only batteries of the same type, manufacturer, and capacity are connected. New batteries must be recharged for at least 24 hours (48 hours if older than nine months) before system start up.
