What This Code Means

The control unit has detected an unintended connection to earth ground on the field wiring.

1Connections to earth ground on field wiring
2Improper earth-ground offset voltage (nominal is 6.60 Vdc)
3Leakage currents from high-power circuits like motors, fans, or air-conditioning into the ground return
4Grounding both ends of a drain wire or shield providing a current path

Check for connections to earth ground on field wiring whose removal restores proper earth-ground offset voltage of 6.60 Vdc nominal.
